Continuing with classic Disney cartoons. What about “Disney’s Halloween Treat.” This was a great addition to the holiday during Halloween each year. This classic compilation video was updated a couple of times. It started off as a narration with classic Disney shorts and film clips and went on to be hosted by the Magic mirror of Snow White (a live actor) who told you why you should love the Disney Villians.
Many of the shorts on this video were Donald Duck’s “Trick or Treat”, “Pluto’s Nightmare” and also added were some great Disney Film CLips of Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and more. As of this time Disney hasn’t allowed this to be released on DVD yet…and if you are lucky you can find it on Ebay or it goes for $198.00 used on Amazon.com. So if you have this KEEP IT and if you don’t try to find someone who can let you in to celebrate the haoliday with “Disney’s Halloween Treat”
Happy Haunts,

I’ve always liked the songs on this movie because of their relavance to Halloween. Where can I find the soundtrack to this? I’ve searched the web for it and came up with nothing. The only songs I remember are “bad moon on the rising,” the “Monster Mash,” and “Thriller” by Micheal Jackson. I’m trying to come up with a halloween cd and I thought this would be a good area to start.

Well, there is also the Disney song “Trick or Treat” and the “Skeleton Dance” but there is no soundtrack for it at this time. The best thing to do is to comprise your own of the songs from the video. You can find it throughout the web if you keep searching.

I am SO excited to find this. I have loved it and watched it from an old VHS copied from TV since I was a little girl. Thanks for posting this bit of information. Do you know if it will be going to DVD anytime – soon?

Unfortunately some of the clips, including the opening sequence from Disney’s Halloween Treat (the version with Magic Mirror as the host) has disappeared. I wonder if it has anything to do with the YouTube litigation? That or maybe someone just let their account lapse. If anyone else finds the Magic Mirror version, it’d be great if they put it up on Youtube, etc. Otherwise, you can still find a few of the cartoons on Youtube, separate from the ‘Halloween Treat.’ Halloween on the 21st century Disney is lame.

They go up and down like crazy. I am worried that google’s new copyright filter will make them go away, but I will keep looking and keep posting anyway.

I’m the guy who had the Magic Mirror version clips on youtube and yes, they suspended my account. I’m also the guy who sent F1315NJ a copy of it. What’s up dude?

Someone is watching and complaining. I don’t think the copyright filters up yet. Maybe Disney has someone watching now.

@ Jerry
I’d like to purchase a DVD of the Halloween Treat TV specials. They played such a big part in my love of Halloween, and I think that the kids today are missing out on something special.
