Disney will be launching an online subscription service aimed at preschool children, completing its plan for what a Disney executive called, “an online theme park.” This new online service is being called “Playhouse Disney Preschool Time Online” and is based on the characters from the Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney.
The online program focuses on pre-kindergarten skills which will include numbers, letters and shapes as well as have interactive story books. With the content being so intense it is said that the site will be updated every two weeks for a new lesson in learning. Now Disney Preschool Time can only be purchased through Disney but Disney is also working on a Disney Connection Free version of the program through verizon and other sources.
I think this is a good idea but also kind of not needed. a pre-kindergarten child does not need to be online. But, I also think it will be a good thing for those parents wanting to help their child grow and learn but do not have the immediate access to learning programs as these. It is an iffy idea but I am sure we will hear more as it develops.
