Robert Nelson Jacobs, who has been Oscar Nominated, has been contracted to rewrite ‘The Banshee and Fin Magee’ for The Walt Disney Pictures Company. The orginal script seemed to need that something extra to push it forward. The first script was written by Dean DeBlois, who is also on board to help with the rewrite of the script.

DeBlois is planned to produce and also direct this film which tells the tale of a ghost story. This will be his first live-action film debut. Dean was the force who wrote and directed Disney’s hit Lilo & Stitch.

The film itself is a supernatural mystery that centers on a little boy who is ignored by the world and pretends to be a ghost until he comes into contact with a real spirit. We shall see if Dean can hit gold with his live-actio film debut…but asking for rewrites is never a good thing. We will have to wait and see.
