   Its like the difference between 7-11 and a grocery store. Size and scope is just huge. Have you ever been to the World of Disney stores are the park? its like 8 Disney Stores in one.

   Disney Stores is operated by Disney Consumer Products- it is a retail division. World of Disney is owned and operated by the theme parks..

   I’m devestated.. It’s my favorite store ever and a traditional Christmas shopping spot every year. Besides my trip to the WOD in Orlando I’m always in this store. Can’t go to NY w/o my favorite stop. The most upsetting news ever to me!!!

   FYI – I was just there yesterday 12/8/09. they were selling all their i love ny products (with the mickey head rather than the heart logo) at 60% off. I asked why and they said they were closing dec 31st. BUMMER!

   Weird – no notice about ‘what you buy for christmas needs to be returned before the 31st ’cause we won’t be there after that’.

   oh, and they mentioned there was talk of opening another store in NYC, but the cast member I spoke to at the customer service desk in the basement said that wasn’t going to happen : (
