World of Disney New York City to Close in 2010

The World of Disney Store in New York City will not renew its lose and will close when it expires in 2010. This is the last World of Disney Store outside of Anaheim and Orlando and it will be missed. Disney has said that they will open a Disney Store somewhere in Manhattan after the closure.
So sad.

What’s the difference between a Disney Store and a World of Disney Store?

Its like the difference between 7-11 and a grocery store. Size and scope is just huge. Have you ever been to the World of Disney stores are the park? its like 8 Disney Stores in one.

Disney Stores is operated by Disney Consumer Products- it is a retail division. World of Disney is owned and operated by the theme parks..
