DCA Discounts Working?

According to spokespeople at Disney the problematic California Adventure has nearly doubled it attendance in recent weeks. Success has been attributed to the Discount offered to southern California residents and the arrival of more traditional Disney fare at the park. Disney expects the numbers to stay up, but only time will tell.

At the center of Disney’’s California Adventure lies a gourmet restaurant and wine-tasting facility sponsored by the Robert Mondavi Corp. The company has recently said that Disney’’s current promotion of the new park is “encouraging” and will enable Mondavi to break even on their $12 million contribution in 2002.
