Discount Travel for Canadians

Walt Disney World is extending special travel discounts at their resorts to Canadians. The discounts includes rates from $49 per night at Disney’’s All-Star Resorts and $89 per night at Disney’’s Coronado Springs, Caribbean Beach Resorts and Port Orleans. Other discounted rates are being offered at the many other Disney resorts.

The Walt Disney Co. has finally given its Cast Members a contract they”re happy with. The workers approved the contract raising the starting minimum wage to $6.70, up 35 cents. The highest hourly wage has also been raised to $18.88.

DisneyQuest Chicago is slated to close on September 4 after just two years of being open. While DisneyQuest in Orlando has been a large success, the Chicago unit failed to live up to financial expectations. Disney and nine other major Hollywood studios are being sued regarding their movie advertisements containing favorable comments from critics. The ten class-action lawsuits state that these comments come only after the critics have been persuaded by press junkets, for which studios often pay for airfare, meals, hotels, and merchandise.
