GF Cafe Rehab

As of July 8th, the GF Cafe stopped serving dinner so that its kitchen can be rehabbed. Service now ends at 3pm. The rehab is expected to take approximately 4-6 weeks, but when the restaurant will resume offering dinner is not known.

This September the new show “Stanley” will premiere on the Disney Channel as part of its Playhouse Disney programming block. The show is based on the children’s book series of the same name and follows the adventures of the title character and his talking goldfish, Dennis. The show was created and executive produced by Jim Jinkins and David Campbell’’s Cartoon Pizza Productions of “PB&J Otter” fame.

The Disney Channel has acquired all 66 episodes of the popular series “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” The show is based on the film of the same name and has spawned multiple attractions at Disney’’s Theme Parks. The show will make its debut on September 3, 2001.

An effort is being led by Sweden to eliminate television advertising aimed at children under the age of 12. If successful the advertising ban would elimate $200 million in commercial revenue for European broadcaster and would hinder the ability of the Walt Disney Company to influence the buying habit of young children.
