Atlantis Early Release Performs Well

Critics calling Disney’’s latest movie, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, only average did not stop it from making money at its early release theatres. Atlantis opened at two theatres in New York and Los Angeles taking in $341,588. The film opens wide this Friday.

On Friday, Orange County Superior Court Judge David R. Chaffee denied the Parkewood Village Apartment complex’’s request for a restraining order that would have stopped Disney from paving two temporary parking lots near Disneyland.The compex stated in their petition that the city did not give notice of the public hearing of the project and did nothing to study the effects the parking lot would have on traffic and the environment.

The new lots will provide 701 spaces for Disney employees and 1000 spaces for overflow parking from Disneyland and DCA.

New Monsters, Inc. Trailer Released

A new trailer has just been released for Monsters, Inc., Disney/Pixar’’s latest creation since Toy Story 2. This trailer will be able to be seen attached to Disney’’s upcoming movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire… but even sooner than that, you can download the trailer now!\r

Hunts Snack Pack Puddings, the fun ones that turn tongues colors, will put an “Atlantan Language Decoder” in each pack.

General Mills” fruit rollups will have packs featuring cut outs of movie scenes.

Kellogg will be including Atlantis water toys in several cereal brands and 75 million Kellogg boxes will promote a movie CD-ROM game.
