KABC Talk Radio 790 is having a contest offering free passes to DCA on the opening night(July 2, 2001) of The Electrical Parade. The ABC network, a unit of the Walt Disney Co., has announced its latest gameshow entitled You Don”t Know Jack, based on the popular video game. Hosting the show will be none other than former Pee-Wee’’s Playhouse star, Paul Reubens. I”m sure he”ll give Regis a run for his money. The new show will begin airing this summer.
A digitally remastered version of Beauty and the Beast is coming to IMAX Theaters March 8th, 2002. Included will be a new scene where enchanted objects sing about the idea of returning to their human form (possibly the song from the Broadway show).
The Main Street Electrical Parade is getting updated in Tokyo Disneyland this June. A newer, more technologically advanced version of the beloved parade called Electrical Parade Dreamlights is taking the place of Disney’’s Fantillusion after its six-year run.
Electrical Parade Dreamlights features characters from various Disney movies including A Bug’’s Life, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. The new parade cost 3 Billion yen (about $24.5 million) to produce.
