About once a week I get sent this question in an email, “How Do I get Cast in a Disney Show or Movie”? I respond with some links and wish them good luck. From all accounts its a difficult road to travel, but if you have a dream, what else can you do, right? Well here is what I know about getting cast and its straight from the Mouse’s mouth:

As with any career, education and practice are important. A good first step would be to discuss your interests with a school counselor or drama teacher. If you are not currently enrolled in school, we recommend taking some drama courses at your local college. We suggest you familiarize yourself with a local theater group in your area, and read the entertainment industry trade papers, which are available at most libraries. In these you will find advertisements for upcoming auditions. Also, The Walt Disney Company employs thousands of performers for the various Theme Parks and Resorts. Auditions are held regularly to cast singers, dancers, actors, DJs and VJs, musicians, and bands. For information on these exciting opportunities, please visit our Disney Audition site. When you feel ready to do so, you might consider finding an agent. Their job is to locate work suitable for you. As most film and television organizations require agency representation, having an agent is almost essential for getting paid work. If you are lucky enough to live near a Disney property, they suggest you visit the Disney Audition Site. Remember, you won’t get all the parts you try out for, but try and keep a stiff upper lip and keep smiling.

A great little blurb at the MTV Movie blog about the possibility of sequel to Monsters, Inc.

“We’ve thought about it,” “Monsters, Inc.” director Pete Doctor told MTV News about the possibility for a sequel. “We’ve got a couple ideas.”

In the moment, those ideas are being filtered into a “Monsters, Inc” roller-coaster at the Walt Disney Resorts, which should open in a couple of years.

This is great news, since Monsters, Inc has been on my mind a lot lately. I love to hear that they are considering ideas and I am pleased as punch to hear that those ideas are being filtered in a “Monsters, Inc” Roller-coaster. Its a win-win situation.

Great Video/Article at the CSM about The Land at Epcot. Its nice when people pay attention this underrated attraction. It is one of the best attraction that follows the original mission of EPCOT, to educate and entertain. Every time I ride, I feel like starting my own tomato garden. Its a good thing I am lazy or my place would just be drip gardens and mist boxes.
